The Disk button appears in an empty space whenever the current drive isn’t the same drive the application is run from, allowing the user to swap disks when browsing for documents. The Drive button switches between disk drives. GEOS does not allow the disk with the currently running application to be swapped for another disk in the same drive.

These GUIs don’t have this feature. Lisa has a document-centric interface. No New and Open commands are necessary – the new document is torn from a stationery, and documents are opened just by double-clicking on them (it’s not possible to launch an application, system does that automatically).
