A message if the wrong diskette is inserted during installation. Notice the reassuring “The Install will continue.”

Again, a somewhat wordy message explaining that the first diskette has to be inserted again. This happens after all the four disks have been gone through.

After you finish the installation, you can start up the system, or... turn off the computer.

The desktop after installation. As you can see, there weren’s that many differences between Office System 1.0, 1.2, 1.4 and 2.0 – it was version 3.0 (also known as “7/7”) that introduced significant changes. Here you can still witness the old label font and the absence of Desk menu. However, the Wastebasket icon is already different.

At the first run, applications do not know their window size and initially open in a bigger, default window. However, during subsequent launches the correct size is chosen from the beginning.

Also, some of the antropomorphisms from Lisa OS 1.x are already gone. The “Clock is preparing this window’s display” has been replaced with more generic “Just a moment please...”

...not all funny messages are gone. This one, for example, is displayed when the Calculator is run for the first time.

As you can see, the arbitrary year limit (1995) is still here...

...as well as calculator’s poor understanding of what constitutes an ∞.

And this is how Lisa is saying goodbye. There is no Turn Off command anywhere, the shutdown is initiated when the user presses an illuminated power button.
