In the Edit pop-up menu (invoked with a MENU mouse button) there’s a Save As: submenu (invoked by simply moving the mouse right when on Save field). To save the file, the user has to put a correct name and then drag the icon to the directory window of her/his choice. Pressing the OK button will only give a “To save, drag the icon to a directory display” reminder.

Running applications

Running applications in RISC OS 3.11 (Icon bar) The lefthand icons give the user access to disk drives (here floppy drive and hard drive) and Apps window listing all available applications (either in ROM or on drives). The righthand icons are the running applications (except for the last one giving the general RISC OS menu). When launched, applications usually just appear in the icon bar without spawning any windows.
