Go backMac Guided TourIntroduction

This is the Guided Tour of Macintosh. If you’ve set up your Macintosh as shown in the unpacking and setup instructions, please find the disk with the title A Guided Tour of Macintosh and insert it into the disk drive below the screen. Put it in with the metal in first, and the label up. Push it all the way in.

When you turn on your Macintosh next, it will take you through a series of short exercises that’ll help you master the mouse and a few skills you need to get the most out of your Macintosh. Please stop your tape recorder now, and turn on your Macintosh by reaching to the left of the back, and flipping the power switch up. Start your tape recorder again when you’re finished with the mouse exercises.
